The Dragon's Head Blog: Holiday Gala Report from Portland, Oregon

The Portland branch kicked off the holiday season with its annual Saturday afternoon holiday gala.  The turnout for the luncheon was the largest yet.  We worked together to set up and decorate tables, cook the entrees and arrange the bountiful food.  The branch provided the entree (salmon and a tofu dish) and the participants brought salads, sides and enough desserts to last through the holiday season.  During the dinner we enjoyed the musical artistry of a member guitarist. After the clean-up we had a two hour intensive to work off the calories with lots of don yus followed by instruction on warding off monkeys.
