On Saturday April 8 the Dunedin branch held its first wine tasting at the International Center Florida. As participants and friends entered the building they were greeted by a glass of sparkling wine and a brochure detailing each wine at the six tasting stations. Each station had an attendent knowledgeable on each of the two wines served at their station. Food included a honeycomb donated by a local beekeeper, and items donated by our members. Over 50 participants took part in the event including those from the Tampa Bay area. Auction items included a day working with bees and honey production from a local beekeeper, a hand-made pine needle basket, a loaded basket of wines, chocolates and other epicurean delights, plus a hand-made lead glass kaleidoscope. Raffle tickets were sold for other delightful items raising money for the branch. Many participants ended the night by walking to out to a nearby street to listen to live music offered at outdoor venues.
