Inspired by the example of Central Region hosting programs at the International Center in Florida, the Central Vancouver Island Branch organized a Regional Intensive at the Pacific Region Centre in Vancouver on Thursday, April 12. A bus-load of participants came by ferry to join a host of Vancouver participants in time to walk to a local restaurant. Together, we learned more about dim sum and about looking after each other.
Program leaders Jim Nicholson and Verity Rolfe challenged us to to explore our balance and timing. We found ways to let go more, open more and to feel more balanced, natural and fluid in the moves. Just as with the tai chi, Central Vancouver Island participants were enthusiastic and appreciative of the value of stretching beyond their branch. The bright energy and sense of adventure they brought to the Pacific Region Centre was wonderful.
