The Dragon's Head Blog: International Awareness Day #2 in Toronto, Canada

by International Blog Editor · Aug 11, 2017

Canada / International Awareness Day

(Le français suit plus bas.)

Mono Centre, IAD 2017
It is 6:00 am and all Lok Hup week participants take the bus to Toronto’s Yonge-Dundas Square for the second International Awareness Day in two weeks.

As usual there was the dragon who danced to the rhythm of the drums and cymbals, hundreds of participants who did numerous sets and a few who gave free classes to people walking on the sidewalk. On the stage, several dignitaries spoke as well as our representatives from many countries.

On the bus returning to the International Center, the following comments were made:

Another example where working together and helping one another produced a wonderful day.
Energizing! Stimulating! It was an excellent occasion to find a way to work together to achieve harmony.
My first Awareness Day … what a happening!
A wonderful example of our unity of purpose.
Lovely to be able to take some of our stillness into the city!
Awareness Day really develops the concept and the benefits of being in the moment as well as being part of an amazing global community with strong local roots.
