Something’s cooking in Majorca where after years of trials and tribulations
the building owned by the Society in Palma now has a fully operational
kitchen. It was a long and winding road, starting with winning over the
neighbors and raising the funds. But everybody rallied to the cause and
finally the big day arrived.
The kitchen opened on a high with a delicious Chinese New Year banquet
preceded by a fundraising intensive led by Carmen Capilla. More than 70
people, including members from Madrid and Barcelona, took part in the
event. All the members in the Majorcan branch had been involved —
cleaning and decorating the club beforehand, helping to chop veggies on
the big day and cleaning up afterwards, once more illustrating the spirit of
the Taoist Tai Chi® teachings.
