On 29th April, South East Essex branch members met at a local garden centre tea room to enjoy an afternoon tea together. The dress code was ‘wear your brightest tai chi T-shirt’ — and we did!
The tea room kindly let us use their outside space to practice a tai chi set in the garden before our tea. The weather was kind to us, and we took the opportunity to hand out posters for new beginner courses to a number of interested onlookers.
As the sun went in, so did we into the warm and cosy team room, where we enjoyed tea, sandwiches, gorgeous cake, and scones with cream and jam. It was heartwarming to see established friendships enjoying each other’s company and seeing new friendships blossoming.
It was a small fundraising event and a lively raffle brought a very enjoyable afternoon to a close.
