The Dragon's Head Blog: International workshop in Slovakia overcame 200 participants

TTCS of Slovakia hosted 2 day workshop in Bratislava on October 17 – 18. The workshop was led by Marsha Eberhardt. We welcomed 210 participants from many countries – Switzerland, Germany, Spain, England, Poland, Hungary and Czech Republic.

Workshop started Saturday morning in school gym nearby clubhouse. We divided into groups where people worked together on their Tai Chi and discussed their experiences. Of course, groups had also tasks such as preparing refreshment and tea, serving food and cleaning.

During the workshop we were selling some merchandise to support Fenway project – chocolate and homemade baked tea (home means clubhouse). It was very successful and chocolate was sold out very quickly.

Workshop breakfasts were prepared and served in our clubhouse. This was a big challenge for us because we had to feed 130 members on Sunday morning. We did a good preparation and arrangement, so finally it worked very well and without queues.

As usual more than 40 members slept in the clubhouse, so it was pretty busy during the weekend. Sunday morning after breakfast we did chanting there. It woke and started us for upcoming practice. Then we continued in gym and program finished with lunch at 2pm.

Despite of great number of participants, workshop ran very smoothly. All groups cooperated very well, made a good job and created harmonious atmosphere. We had very positive feedback from members who attended the workshop. Many members from abroad appreciated good organization and work of all coordinators. We were very happy that a lot of people from Slovakia came and helped with organization. We hope this will bring us more together and will help us with another development of the Society.
