The Dragon's Head Blog: Horseshoe Region Lok Hup Weekend, March 5 – 6, 2016

On March 5 and 6, 2016, many months of planning by the Horseshoe branches (Burlington, Brantford, Hamilton, Oakville and Niagara) came to a successful conclusion with the first National Program hosted at the Horseshoe Centre  in St. Catharines, Ontario – a Lok Hup Weekend – led by Serge Ferland from Montreal.  56 participants from 12 different branches attended.

Serge created a comfortable learning environment through the use of humour, patience and clarity in the demonstrations of the Lok Hup movements. Seven leaders were assigned to assist in the small group Lok Hup practice.  The groups practiced independently for 20-30 minutes before being offered “check points”.

An abundance of good food was available for breaks, lunches on both days and dinner on Saturday thanks to a dedicated group of kitchen volunteers.

Serge ended the 2 day program encouraging participants to continue to practice Lok Hup, even if only small sequences were remembered.
