Taoist Tai Chi International Seniors' Day New York City, New York, United States of America

On the first day of the month the New York City-based Tri-State branch hosted 62 guests and participants for our International Seniors‘ Day event. We shared a fantastic brunch while watching live video feeds from 11 branches around the globe, an illustration of our international culture. We all thoroughly enjoyed Dr. Nathan Goldstein’s presentation entitled In Balance: Aging, Health and Wellness. In his upbeat style he brought us a better understanding of the scientific documentation of the benefits of tai chi, particularly as we age. We then invited guests to learn the first few moves, and then we ended the day with a large group set, which included several of our guests.

Thanks go to Dr. Goldstein, to the guests who came from many different community centers, and, of course, to our volunteers who give of themselves in so many ways. The day helped us share tai chi with others who could benefit, whether senior or senior-to-be.
