Cultivating stillness … Taoist saan fa chanting, practiced around a table; Confucian chanting including the Ten Thousand Buddhas sutra, practiced in front of the high shrine; and quiet sitting. These are just some of the methods of cultivating stillness, under the gentle guidance and encouragement of workshop leaders Sean Dennison and Jim Nicholson.
Chinese New Year in Aberdeen Angus, United Kingdom
Members from across the newly extended Aberdeen Angus Branch met for some tai chi practice, and prepared a traditional meal of haggis, neeps and tatties, to celebrate Chinese New Year and Robbie Burns Night.

On Saturday morning there are new arrivals who join the International Workshop in Edinburgh to practice Taoist Tai Chi® arts. The food chopping team increases production. The practice floor fills with open friendly (and soon to be hungry) faces.
International Workshop in Edinburgh – Friday morning
Outwardly, it looks similar – some chanting, some tai chi, some standing, preparing lunch – but inwardly it feels different, because now it’s the third day, and the transformation is progressing.
